Orlando

We were able to go to Orlando last week and had an awesome week away from real life. It was a lot of fun and great to have some time in the sun. I love living where we have the full four seasons, but this break from the cold was much needed. We are really going to miss seeing our family over the Holidays, but we felt like we really couldn't pass up this opportunity.

Got to go to M&M World and spend way too much on candy :)

Scott had an interview in Largo on one of the days so I took the kids to the pool and miniature golfing. Kali wasn't that interested, but Caden really wanted to go back.

We went to Disney World. Thanks to a fellow med student and her connections we were able to get in for free. We spent most of our time at the Magic Kingdom, but we were able to go to Hollywood Studios as well. We had a great time. Caden was our dare devil. I took him on Space Mountain and I thought he would be in tears at the end, but he was excited to find the next ride. Kali wasn't able to go on as much, but she had fun seeing all of the characters and watching the parades.

Kali was completely exhausted by the time we left. This was the second time she fell asleep.

We got to spend some time at "our Florida house" as the kids called it, and the pools that it had around it. Our condo was super nice. Thanks to Scott's aunt Nancy we were able to get a great deal on a place that was like having a home away from home. We feel really lucky to have such great family support.

This guy was sitting by the pool dressed like this. The kids obviously thought it was Santa. The guy was nice enough to play along.

The kids did really good sleeping in the same room. I was a little worried they would keep each other awake, but they surprised me. I think I will have to keep this in mind when we move.

This was from the character breakfast that the hotel complex had.

We went to St. Augustine on one of the days that it wasn't as warm out. It is a Spanish town that has a lot of really old architecture. I think secretly Scott was hoping to run into a Spaniard.

The last full day we were there we went to Sea World. I was really surprised at how much fun we had. I wasn't sure if it would be something the kids would appreciate as much, but they had plenty to keep them entertained. There were a lot of extra things going on because of Christmas. I definitely want to go back.

There was a Sesame Street Christmas show while we were there and that was fun for the kids.
