Scott got back from Utah and he brought back a cool way to do s'mores indoors. We enjoyed some roasted mini marshmallows and graham crackers in the dead of winter.

We also got our snow storm that we were waiting for. Caden got to play football with some of the older kids down the street and he loved it. That's all he talked about for a few days.

People always aks about the kids and what they have been up to. Here are a few stories about them.

Last night we played a game of memory and Caden beat us all... and we were trying... our best. He has an awesome memory. Scott and I are blown away at how much he can remember. He remembers a lot from Missouri and he was only 3 when we moved here. Last week I downloaded a couple of books on my phone and Caden had listened to them about 10 times and the other day he told me he was going to tell me a story. He told me the story from two books. He has both books memorized word for word. It was kinda creepy. He is also going through a bad phase of talking back. For the most part he is a good boy, but he gets in these moods that make me want to scream. Last week he was not listening and I told him that I was too mad to talk to him (I regret saying it), but he went upstairs, got dressed, made his bed and left me a picture on his bed. It was a picture of me with a sad face on one side that said mom and on the other side it said Caden and it was a picture of him with a smile. It broke my heart. I hate getting mad at him.

Kali is a little miss independent. She wants to do everything herself. Most things I will give into, but wiping herself I just won't. She wants to do it every time and I know it would be a germy mess. If she wants to do something herself she always says,"I can do it. I have two hands". I'm not sure where she picked that one up, but it definitely shows how independent she wants to be. The other day a store clerk asked her how old she is and she replied, "I'm 2 (holding up her fingers). I'm not 1, cause 1 is for babies". Don't try to tell her she is big 'cause she knows she is little. And don't try to tell her she is anything but Kali. If we call her any nicknames like princess she will respond, "No I'm not a princess, I'm Kali".

I love my kids. They keep life interesting and always find a way to make me smile.
