Scott had two weeks off after our trip to Orlando. He basically had the whole month of December off because he did an online pharmacology class the first two weeks. So we were able to do some fun Christmas things. We made a gingerbread train, sugar cookies and got to look at lots of Christmas lights. I was able to pick up some extra shifts and that was good because December was an expensive month. Kali had a blast eating all of the treats. She loves sugar and doesn't make her too hyper. Caden is not a fan of too many sweets and that's fine with me because he has plenty of energy without the added help.

We stayed home and had our own family Christmas this year. Since Christmas was on Sunday we opened presents first and then went to church. I had to work at 3, but things were pretty much wrapped up by then, and I am not going to complain about the holiday pay. Caden got a Wii and Kali got a doll house, but at this age they care more about the number of presents. Caden was dying for How to Train Your Dragon toys and they are a little hard to find since the movie has been out for so long. I was able to find some on e-bay last minute thankfully because that is what he asked for every time we went to see Santa and he wrote it on his list. Kali got her big girl toys. She acts more like she is five instead of two. She has something to say about everything and she does not want help with anything.

Caden has been in love with the Wii. I have to really limit the time he spends on it. This boy loves video games.

We got to hang out around the house and relax.

No big snow storm yet, but we are ready.

My mom came to visit and help out so I could work while Scott has been gone. He has been on an out rotation in Utah for two weeks. He comes home on Saturday. We sure miss him, but having my mom here definitely helped out. The kids had a lot of fun with her.
